Upgame, an app developed in India by Delhi based Bensaw Technologies is seeing increased traction through  European Tour winners who have been using the app to improve performance through analysis of playing and practice statistics.

In the last few weeks, Upgame users have seen 4 victories. 22 year old Garrick Higgo won two titles in three weeks on the European Tour with record breaking scoring and 21-year-old future superstar , long hitting , Wilco Nienaber won on the Challenge Tour.

Accomplished coach Tom Boys who works with stars such as former Augusta Masters winner Charl Schwartzel, former World No 1 Jason Day and World No 52 Matt Wallace, uses Upgame to track their performances and recommends corrections and swing adjustments accordingly.

In March 2021, Upgame signed with the Europro Tour, a developmental tour just a rung below the Challenge Tour in Europe as official provider of in-depth statistical analysis of players.

What’s interesting to observe is the meteoric improvement in Garrick Higgo’s world rankings. From being ranked 2006 at the start of 2019, he is now ranked 51st after his latest wins in Spain.

Starting with 2019, Higgo has won twice each year. In 2019, he played in 16 events, while winning two – Big Easy Challenge 3 (Big Easy Tour) a mini tour in South Africa and Sun City Challenge on the Sunshine Tour in Africa.

In 2020, Higgo won the Sunshine Tour Championship and Open de Portugal on the Challenge Tour and qualified to play the European Tour.

In 2021, Higgo won with 25-under par and 27-under par totals on the European Tour within a space of 3 weeks.

It is a matter of pride for Indian golf that a homegrown App is making its mark globally and complementing the recognition we are gaining with consistent performances by Indian Tour pros.
