LIV Golf played its second tournament in Adelaide, Australia and showed the event is proving popular as 94,000 fans showed up over three days hosted at The Grange Golf Club
Driving fan interest was the fact that the all Aussie team of Ripper GC under the captaincy of Cameron Smith triumphed over the South African team, Stinger GC in the first ever team title sudden death playoff on the LIV Tour. The tournament quickly gained momentum on social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter).
Smith’s winning putt on the 2nd playoff hole sealed the victory, igniting jubilant celebrations as the Rippers featuring Cameron Smith, Marc Leishman, Lucas Herbert, and Matt Jones toasted with shoeys on the podium.

LIV Golf Australia further lived up to its aim to grow golf worldwide by getting involved with a few charities and social services –

LIV Golf also signed with Golf Australia for Junior Golf Development
The Saudi-backed golf initiative, LIV Golf, recently entered into a partnership with Golf Australia aims to reduce the financial barriers for young aspiring golfers to participate in My Golf, Golf Australia’s junior program.
According to Golf Australia’s annual report for 2022-23, a notable surge of 22% in participation was recorded, with 33,000 children engaging in My Golf activities. The program’s costs vary depending on factors such as location and duration, with a single after-school session priced at less than $50, while a comprehensive term-long program can amount to several hundred dollars.
This week LIV golf is playing in Singapore’s Sentosa GC, headquarters of the Asian Tour and considered one of the leading clubs in the Asia Pacific region. The annual event at Sentosa represents the best opportunity for Indian fans to watch LIV’s star players in action.
